Greenship
Definition
Indonesia's national green building rating system, developed and administered by the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) since 2010. Greenship evaluates buildings across six categories: Appropriate Site Development, Energy Efficiency, Water Conservation, Material Resources and Cycle, Indoor Health and Comfort, and Building Environment Management. Buildings are certified at Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum level based on total points achieved.
Example
The Sequis Center tower in Jakarta's SCBD district (2016) was among the first high-rise office buildings in Indonesia to achieve Greenship Platinum certification, using double-skin facades, rainwater harvesting, and optimised chiller systems to reduce energy and water consumption against the national baseline.
