Definition
American architect (1867–1959) considered one of the greatest of the 20th century. Wright developed the Prairie Style of low, horizontal houses integrated with the landscape, and later created iconic works spanning nearly seven decades. His concept of 'organic architecture' held that buildings should grow from their site, programme, and materials.
Example
Fallingwater in Bear Run, Pennsylvania (1935) — a house cantilevering over a waterfall — is widely considered the most beautiful building ever created by an American architect.
